The departed await your arrival.

So the legends begin…

On February 12, 1733, Colonel James Oglethorpe landed along the river on ship Anne along with 114 English Settlers. Upon his arrival, Oglethorpe was greeted by Yamacraw Indian Chief, Tomo-chi-chi. The two immediately became friends, and on that very day, through the generosity of Chief Tomo-chi-chi, he gifted Oglethorpe his land, in which Oglethorpe founded the colony of Georgia—named after His Majesty, King George II—and our beloved Savannah was established.

But the purity of Savannah would be short-lived… the good marred in a sinister darkness that would sweep the city with war, disease, death, and murder.
